ACC: 1 Long Term Effects Of Global Warming
Global
warming is became one main issues in last few years. The increased use fossil
fuels in transportation led to an increase of excess carbon. This raises some
effect for the life of mankind on earth. There are effects that require long
periods of time to be realized which can cause problems of our generation and
future
First
effect, is on the weather and climate on earth. Climate change is happens on
earth makes the increased occurrence of drought and heat storms. This change
also led to increased heat on earth. Not only that, it changes also result in a
shift of more extreme cold temperature. So there is climate change and extreme
weather.
Second
effect, is the melt of glacier. Increase in temperature of the earth makes the
polar melting glaciers. The long term this effect will lead to rising sea
levels. In the short term will impact on the supply of domestic water supply
and irrigation fields, and plant nutrients.
Third
effect, is damage to ocean ecosystems. Damage on the biota particularly ocean
ecosystems and coral reefs is caused by carbon that reacts with seawater to
form carbonic acid. It may threaten the long-term survival sea life. Without a
sea species. The sea will become a desert that will produce the toxin from the
air in the atmosphere.
Last
effect, the volcanic activity. Increased volcanic activity is one of the
effects of melting glaciers. Within natural state of Merapi volcano erupts
every one to ten thousand years. But with the melting of glacier greatly
reduces pressure around. So that the occurrence of volcanic eruption is likely
to start a lot.
So we as
humans should keep our earth. Things we can to do. For example plant a tree as
